Blessings Everywhere
By Student Ali Denton
“I bless this situation. I bless this person. God bless him, also.”
-Ron Roth
I came in to this world an empath. I was constantly scanning the room as a child and always worrying what was happening. I wasn’t in a stable environment so I learned really quickly to make sure I was safe and others were safe too. Fast forward to now where I still carry that same energy of really being on guard, fixing and worrying about my loved ones. This is truly one of the reasons I joined the CLM Student program. It was to break these beliefs and know that I am safe with God. No matter what.
I have still been in this predicament and one of my favorite ways to find relief is to read any of Ron Roth's books. I feel healing through the pages and the divine being channeled and cannot help but feel at peace. I was reading a chapter and Ron started sharing about a scary experience he had in a car accident. He explained how hurt he was feeling in his heart around the situation. He expressed his anger and how it was leaking out to all the events after the crash. The hurt grew so strong that he went to one of his mentors to ask for help. He told Ron to bless the person who had hit him with his truck.
After reading this part and seeing how simple that seemed to just pray “Bless _____”, I wanted to give it a shot and see if the same prayer could apply to me. I started to say it out loud and felt such relief. I could breathe knowing that God is everything and has everyone. Hallelujah! I didn’t have to figure out how I was going to forgive the people or situations in my life. I just uttered this simple prayer and my life is forever changed.
I know that this path to healing is to forgive. Forgiving myself and others. I don’t want to hold hurt in my heart. So I leave you with this prayer of my own.
Father, oh mighty one. Lover of all. Keeper of all. May you bless all beings and set them free. Help us remember that we are all connected. You are the giver of miracles. I love you so much and am so grateful for everything you have given me. Even in the challenges, you have always been right behind me, beside me with your hand on my back.
Forever yours, Ali D.
